Corporate Cup Scoring System

The scoring system enables all ages, both male and female, to compete on the same basis. Bloomsday will record each runner’s placing in the following age brackets:

18 19-22 23-29 30-34
35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54
55-59 60-64 65-69 70-79
80+

The Corporate Cup competition is scored by dividing each Corporate Cup runner’s time into the winning time for his or her age bracket. For example, if the age bracket winner had a time of 50 minutes, and your runner had a time of 60 minutes, your runner’s score would be 833 points (50 divided by 60 - .83333, or 833 points). The three highest scores on each team are added together to determine the team score. The highest team score wins.

For purposes of Corporate Cup scoring, invited runners will not be considered age bracket winners and will be excluded from the Corporate Cup scoring process.  Invited runners are those who have received complimentary lodging or transportation to participate in Bloomsday.

Please Note:   Non-invited runners who receive prize money and/or non-invited runners participating in the 8:45 AM Women's Elite Start are eligible as age bracket winners for purposes of corporate cup scoring.
