The Lilac Bloomsday Association presents the 41st running of the Lilac Bloomsday Run.
Thousands of Bloomies take the bus to and from the start every year. Spokane Transit provides special Bloomsday shuttle service from four locations on Sunday morning.
Buses Board from 6:20 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. We recommend being at the shuttle stop about two hours before the estimated start time for the color group you're in.
*Spokane Valley Mall
*Ferris High School
Drop off on 1st Avenue between Post and Stevens.
Return Trip begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m., loading on 1st Avenue between Post and Stevens.
Cost: $1.50 (no charge for children age 5 and younger; no more than 3 kids per adult).
Regular Sunday bus service (and zones) will resume at approximately 3:00 p.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m.
Those riding the bus should check out Bloomsday's backpack restrictions to avoid bringing items on the bus that won't be allowed in the starting area. (Note: These are Bloomsday's policies, not STA's).
STA will have a booth at Bloomsday Check-In on May 5 and 6 to pre-sell bus passes and provide any additional information. You can also purchase passes during online registration (STA passes purchased during online registration will be noted with an "STA" on the name sticker on your Bloomsday race number. This will allow you to board the bus on race morning. If you order a pass online, you don't need to pick up your pass at Bloomsday Check-In.You can also reboard the shuttle for the return trip, even though your name sticker will have been turned in at T-shirt distribution).
Without a pass, you can still use the shuttle service for $1.50 each way on race morning. Exact change required.
STA monthly passes may also be used to pay for shuttle transportation.
